Time Is Priceless

I was a paediatric nurse working long 13-hour shifts, weekends and night duty. My husband, being an HGV driver, also worked long and unsociable hours so we were like passing ships; one going and one coming home from work, with a child minder filling in the gaps. We had so little family time together and very little disposable income after paying the childminder and bills.

Whilst I was on maternity leave with my fourth child, a friend approached me to look at Forever. I was nearing half pay on my maternity leave and I was looking for something to bridge the gap and enable me to return to work on part time hours. Forever ticked all the boxes for me because of its flexibility, and with its diverse range of products I could see how I could recommend products to everyone I knew. I would be lying if I said I didn’t find it daunting. I had never done anything like this before; network marketing was something I’d never even heard of before but the support I received was amazing.

When I got started, I was adamant I was only going to be a retailer. I had no interest in building a team, however this came naturally as my customers also began to love the products and started recommending them to their family and friends. It was easy to show them how they too could earn an income doing this.

In my first few months of Forever I was able to build an income that allowed me to return to nursing on reduced hours. I continued to work Forever alongside my nursing, in pockets of time around my kid’s schedules and this allowed me more time with my family without jeopardising our finances.

In June 2017 I was thrown a massive curveball when I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I had to put my nursing to one side whilst I embraced 14 months of intense treatment.

Forever was a major distraction for me through a very dark time in my life, I dabbled at it whilst in my sick bed and found that, ironically, my business grew at a time where it probably could have stopped. As time went on, it became increasingly evident that the side effects from my treatment meant I wasn’t ready to return to nursing. Forever quickly moved from my plan B to my plan A and allowed me to take an unpaid career break from nursing.

In the subsequent years I have achieved Eagle Manager four times, the Forever To Drive incentive and I am an active member of the Irish VIP team and one of the top Business Owners in Ireland.

When I look back on my life before Forever and my life now, it blows my mind to see how this incredible business has changed my life. Not only do I have a full-time income coming in, but the personal development I have had along the way has helped shape the positive stress-free person I am today. The community within Forever, the support, the values and not forgetting the amazing products, have helped me get through some very challenging times in my life.

I love being a full-time mum now to my four boys. I decide the days I want to work, and I decide how many hours I want to do. I’m there every day for school runs and if any of my boys need me because of sickness, parent teacher meetings, sports day etc, I don’t have to ask anyone permission for time off. I don’t miss any more of their milestones, and you can’t put a price on that. Time is precious and I am so grateful for the quality time I get with my family every day.

To anyone thinking of starting a business with Forever, I would say take the opportunity and run with it. Yes it might be scary, yes you will have setbacks, but if you commit, be consistent and have a passion to succeed, the rewards from Forever far outweigh the negatives.
