Forever has enriched me

From Devon and currently a Supervisor, Sue started her Forever business in 2017 as a way to access product discounts. She never envisaged developing a business…

When did you come across Forever?

I started out using the products for one simple reason: I wanted to feel better. I fell into retailing them quite by accident, selling them to family and friends. Within a short time, I could see the difference in me.

What was your early life like?

I had learnt from an early age that it is a good idea to have multiple income streams. My dad was a postman and financially astute; he made sure he had investments in the Stock Market and Rental Property. That influence rubbed off on me and, while I worked in several roles including teaching and the Post Office, I too invested in rental property.

How did having a family impact your working life?

I had three children: my first child and then twins twenty months later. As a busy full-time mum, my external working life simply wasn’t feasible. Not only were childcare costs prohibitive, but I wanted to raise my children without additional care. Plus, without long service, my Royal Mail and teaching pensions were small. As a result, my Forever income, as well as my rental and Airbnb incomes, has been vital in providing a good standard of living in my ‘retirement’ years.

How did you grow your business?

While it’s a good start retailing to family and friends, I wanted to develop new customers. In order to expose myself to the wider public, I've shared stands at agricultural shows and met so many people, which I find energising. It was through a show that I found my first overseas customer (who lives in UAE), proving that you never know who you will meet. Or from where.

I keep my Airbnb stocked with Forever products and many of my guests who have enjoyed using the products during their stay go on to buy them or even become new team members.

What are your goals for the future?

I have also seen an increased interest in those wanting to start their own businesses, particularly those in the caring professions, who we all know are not generously rewarded for their long hours and dedication. As my team grows, I am working towards becoming a Manager on the Marketing Plan in 2024. I doubled my income in 2023 as my team and retailing expanded.

What do you love about Forever?

The ‘Forever family’ is so positive and is a source of huge social connection for me. So much so, that my upline Cherry is one of my best friends. I accompanied her to Bali as her ‘plus one’ and will never forget the white-water rafting experience we shared. We met a wonderful German couple on that trip who now live in Cyprus. I looked them up when I visited last September and presented myself on their doorstep. We had the most wonderful day together walking and spending time on a beach that only a local would know how to access.

What other company exposes you to these kinds of people, experiences and memories? Cherry and I invested in a ‘campervan’ last year (a former police dog vehicle) and we are already enjoying mini adventures.

Age really is just a number. I am medication free at 75 and having the time of my life. Forever has enriched me in so many ways.
