Doing something for me

Eileen

Eileen lives in the seaside town of Tramore, Co. Waterford and has enjoyed a successful career of 20+ years in financial reporting…

For the past six years I have worked in a demanding role where I lead the training of personnel on site, focusing on health and wellness, and inclusion and diversity for SSE’s Thermal business unit. SSE is a Scottish company involved in renewable wind energy and electricity generation. I enjoy the challenge of my role and effecting change and balance in a male dominated environment.

Having picked up a leaflet about the Forever business opportunity I carried it around with me in my handbag for three weeks before following up with the phone number on it. I just had a feeling about it.

I have always loved working with people and since joining Forever have realised that network marketing is totally my thing. Why? Simply because it gives me the best feeling inside, I am now more ‘me’ if that makes sense, and I am excited about where this journey is going to take both my family and myself.

As well as being a busy mum to two girls, over the past twenty years I have enjoyed a wide range of fitness activities including GAA, tennis, cycling, running and working out. When I started going through the menopause, I was unprepared for how it would affect me psychologically and depression entered my world.

I started using the products to help support my active lifestyle and I also explored the supplement range and have made lifestyle changes to help manage my mood. I have become a huge advocate of Forever’s Freedom drinking gel and Vitolize for Women.

I am now building a team as well as retailing the products. I want to empower more women, working my Forever business puts me in my happy place and I will eventually transition to working Forever full-time.  I appreciate that takes time and commitment to build and that success is not linear. There are those times of course when your commitment is tested such as when the footfall at fairs is low and your stall is quiet, but that’s just part of building anything, the highs and lows. In the short-term my first goals are a trip to Perth with my family and to buy the car of my dreams – a Mustang.

Life is a paradox and while we can plan our future to a certain degree, living in the now and adjusting to the now is life. It’s being excited about the now that makes my daily battle with depression and anxiety completely worth it.
